As-Sa'ib ibn Yazid narrated on the authority of a man whom he named that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) put on two coats of mail during the battle of Uhud as a double protection. (The narrator is doubtful about the word zahara (ظ َ َاهَر) or labisa (ل َ َبِس).

سائب بن یزید رضی اللہ عنہ ایک ایسے آدمی سے روایت کرتے ہیں جس کا انہوں نے نام لیا تھا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ غزوہ احد کے دن دو زرہیں اوپر تلے پہنے شریک غزوہ ہوئے۔
Saib bin Yazid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aik aise aadmi se riwayat karte hain jis ka unhon ne naam liya tha ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Ghazwa e Uhud ke din do zarahin ooper tale pehne shirk ghazwa huwe.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُصَيْفَةَ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَدْ سَمَّاهُ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ظَاهَرَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ بَيْنَ دِرْعَيْنِ أَوْ لَبِسَ دِرْعَيْنِ .
