Sunan Abi Dawud 1333
Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘one who recites the Quran in a loud voice is like one who gives alms openly, and one who recites the Quran quietly is one who gives alms secretly.’

عقبہ بن عامر جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: بلند آواز سے قرآن پڑھنے والا ایسے ہے جیسے اعلانیہ طور سے خیرات کرنے والا اور آہستہ قرآن پڑھنے والا ایسے ہے جیسے چپکے سے خیرات کرنے والا ۔
Aqba bin Aamir Jahni (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wassalam ne farmaya: buland awaz se Quran padhne wala aise hai jaise aelanaiya tor se khairat karne wala aur ahiste Quran padhne wala aise hai jaise chupke se khairat karne wala.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْجَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْجَاهِرِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَالْمُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ .
