Chapter: If an insane person steals or commits a crime that is subject to a had

باب فِي الْمَجْنُونِ يَسْرِقُ أَوْ يُصِيبُ حَدًّا
Sunan Abi Dawud 4400
A similar Hadith is transmitted by al-Amash through a different chain of narrators. He also said, ‘till he reaches puberty, and a lunatic till he is restored to consciousness.’ Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) then began to recite, Allah is the greatest.

اس سند سے اعمش سے اسی جیسی حدیث مروی ہے اس میں بھی «حتى يعقل» ہے اور «عن المجنون حتى يبرأ» کے بجائے «حتى يفيق» ہے، اور «فجعل يكبر» کے بجائے «فجعل عمر يكبر» ہے۔
is sind se aamish se aisi hi hadis marwi hai is mein bhi «hatya yaqal» hai aur «an al majnoon hatya yabra» ke bajaye «hatya yafik» hai, aur «fajal yakbar» ke bajaye «fajal umar yakbar» hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ نَحْوَهُ، وَقَالَ أَيْضًا: حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ، وَقَالَ: وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَفِيقَ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ عُمَرُ يُكَبِّرُ.
