Sunan Abi Dawud 443
'Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said : The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was on his journey. They (the people) slept abandoning the Fajr prayer. They awoke by the heat of the sun. Then they travelled a little until the sun rose high. He (the Prophet ﷺ) commanded the mu'adhdhin (one who called for prayer) to call for prayer. He then offered two rak'a (sunnah prayer) before the (obligatory) fajr prayer. Then he (the mu'adh-dhin) announced Iqama then the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led them in the morning prayer.

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ایک سفر میں تھے کہ لوگ نماز فجر میں سوئے رہ گئے، سورج کی گرمی سے وہ بیدار ہوئے تو تھوڑی دور چلے یہاں تک کہ سورج چڑھ گیا، پھر آپ ﷺ نے مؤذن کو حکم دیا، تو اس نے اذان دی تو آپ نے فجر ( کی فرض نماز ) سے پہلے دو رکعت سنت پڑھی، پھر ( مؤذن نے ) تکبیر کہی اور آپ نے فجر پڑھائی۔
Imran bin Haseen ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aik safar mein the ke log namaz Fajr mein soye rahe gaye, sooraj ki garmi se woh bedar hue to thodi door chale yahaan tak ke sooraj charh gaya, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne muazzin ko hukm diya, to usne azan di to aap ne Fajr (ki farz namaz) se pehle do rakat sunnat padhi, phir (muazzin ne) takbir kahi aur aap ne Fajr padhai.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ فَنَامُوا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، فَاسْتَيْقَظُوا بِحَرِّ الشَّمْسِ، فَارْتَفَعُوا قَلِيلًا حَتَّى اسْتَقَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ مُؤَذِّنًا فَأَذَّنَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ .
