Narrated by Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a cooking pot fell on my hand. My mother took me to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in a private place. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for me, "O Lord of the people! Remove this pain from him," and perhaps he also said, "Grant him healing, for You are the Healer." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) applied his saliva on me.

حضرت محمد بن حاطب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میرے ہاتھ پر ایک ہانڈی گرگئی میری والدہ مجھے نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں لے گئیں اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کسی خاص جگہ پر تھے نبی کریم ﷺ نے میرے لئے دعاء فرمائی کہ اے لوگوں کے رب! اس تکلیف کو دور فرما اور شاید یہ بھی فرمایا کہ تو اسے شفاء عطاء فرما کیونکہ شفاء دینے والا تو ہی ہے نبی کریم نے اس کے بعد مجھ پر اپنا لعاب دہن لگایا۔
Hazrat Muhammad bin Hatib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik martaba mere hath par aik handi gir gai meri walida mujhe Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein le gayin us waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kisi khas jagah par thay Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere liye dua farmai ki aye logon ke Rabb! is takleef ko door farma aur shayad ye bhi farmaya ki tu use shifa ata farma kyunki shifa dene wala to hi hai Nabi Kareem ne is ke bad mujh par apna laab dahen lagaya.
Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once I was walking on my feet towards a pot that was boiling. I put my hand in it and it got swollen or burnt. My mother took me to a man in Batha. He recited something and blew on my hand. During the caliphate of Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him), I asked my mother who that man was. She said that he was Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حضرت محمد بن حاطب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں پاؤں کے بل چلتا ہوا ہانڈی کے پاس پہنچ گیا وہ ابل رہی تھی میں نے اس میں ہاتھ ڈالا تو وہ سوج گیا یا جل گیا میری والدہ مجھے ایک شخص کے پاس لے گئیں جو مقام بطحاء میں تھا اس نے کچھ پڑھا اور میرے ہاتھ پر تھتکار دیا حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ کے دور خلافت میں میں نے اپنی والدہ سے پوچھا کہ وہ آدمی کون تھا؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ وہ نبی کریم ﷺ تھے۔

Abu Malik Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Once I was sitting with Muhammad bin Hatib, may Allah be pleased with him, and he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I saw in a dream a land with date palm trees, so migrate towards it.” So Hatib, may Allah be pleased with him (my father), and Ja'far, may Allah be pleased with him, set out towards Najashi by sea. ابومالک اشجعی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں محمد بن حاطب رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا وہ کہنے لگے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ میں نے خواب میں کھجوروں والا ایک علاقہ دیکھا ہے لہٰذا تم اس کی طرف ہجرت کر جاؤ چناچہ حاطب رضی اللہ عنہ (میرے والد) اور حضرت جعفر رضی اللہ عنہ سمندری راستے کے ذریعے نجاشی کی طرف روانہ ہوگئے میں اسی سفر میں کشتی میں پیدا ہوا تھا۔
Abu Malik Ashjai rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba mein Muhammad bin Hatim razi Allah tala anhu ke pass betha hua tha woh kehne lage ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya ke maine khwab mein khajuron wala ek ilaqa dekha hai lihaza tum iski taraf hijrat kar jao chunache Hatim razi Allah tala anhu (mere walid) aur Hazrat Jaffar razi Allah tala anhu samundari raste ke zariye Najashi ki taraf rawana hogaye mein isi safar mein kashti mein paida hua tha.
It is narrated on the authority of Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The difference between halal (lawful) and haram (unlawful) is the beating of drums and the announcement of marriage.

It is narrated on the authority of Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The difference between halal and haram is the playing of the drum and the announcement of marriage.
