It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Ukaim that the Prophet (ﷺ) sent us a letter while we were residing in Jahinah - and I was a young man at that time - (saying) "Do not make use of the skin or tendons of dead animals."

حضرت عبداللہ بن عکیم رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ایک خط ہمارے پاس آیا جبکہ ہم جہینہ میں رہتے تھے اور میں اس وقت نوجوان تھا کہ مردار جانور کی کھال اور پٹھوں سے کوئی فائدہ مت اٹھاؤ۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Ukaim (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek khat humare pass aaya jabke hum jahina mein rehte the aur mein us waqt naujawan tha ki murdar janwar ki khaal aur patthon se koi faida mat uthao.
Isa bin Abdur Rahman says that once Abdullah bin Ukaim (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. We went to visit him. Someone said, “Should you not wear some amulet or something around your neck?” He said, “Should I hang something (around my neck), while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has said that whoever hangs something will be entrusted to it?".

عیسیٰ بن عبدالرحمن کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عکیم رضی اللہ عنہ ایک مرتبہ بیمار ہوگئے ہم ان کی عیادت کے لئے حاضر ہوئے تو کسی نے کہا کہ آپ کوئی تعویذ وغیرہ گلے میں ڈال لیتے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا میں کوئی چیز لٹکاؤں گا؟ جبکہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے کہ جو شخص کوئی بھی چیز لٹکائے گا وہ اسی کے حوالے کردیا جائے گا۔
Aesa bin Abdurrahman kehte hain ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Ukaim Radi Allaho Anhu ek martaba bimar hogaye hum un ki ayadat ke liye hazir huye to kisi ne kaha ki aap koi taweez waghaira gale mein daal lete? Unhon ne farmaya mein koi cheez latkaunga? Jabke Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya hai ki jo shakhs koi bhi cheez latkayega woh usi ke hawale kar diya jayega.
It was narrated from Abdullah bin Ukaim that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent a letter to us when we were living in Jahina – and I was a young man at that time – saying: “Do not make use of the skin or tendons of dead animals.”

It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Akim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever hides something, it will be hung around his neck (on the Day of Judgement)."
