Abu Saalih narrated that one of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was narrating Hadith in front of the people. When the number of people increased, he sat on the roof of a house and started narrating Hadiths. He said that one day the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked the people, "Which is the greatest verse in the Quran?" A man said, "Ayat al-Kursi." The companion said, "Hearing my answer, the Prophet (peace be upon him) placed his blessed hand between my shoulders, the coolness of which I felt in my chest, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'O Abu Mundhir, may you be granted beneficial knowledge.'"

ابوالسلیل کہتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ کے ایک صحابی لوگوں کے سامنے حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے لوگوں کی تعداد جب بڑھتی گئی تو وہ گھر کی چھت پر بیٹھ کر حدیثیں بیان کرنے لگے انہوں نے کہا ایک دن نبی ﷺ نے لوگوں سے پوچھا قرآن میں سب سے بڑی آیت کون سی ہے؟ ایک آدمی نے کہا آیت الکرسی وہ صحابی کہتے ہیں میرا جواب سن کر نبی ﷺ نے اپنا دست مبارک میرے دونوں کندھوں کے درمیان رکھ دیا جس کی ٹھنڈک میں نے اپنے سینے میں محسوس کی اور نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اے ابومنذر تمہیں علم مبارک ہو۔
Abu Alsalil kehte hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke ek Sahabi logon ke samne hadees bayan kar rahe the logon ki tadad jab badhti gai to woh ghar ki chhat par baith kar hadithen bayan karne lage unhon ne kaha ek din Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne logon se puchha Quran mein sab se badi ayat kaun si hai ek aadmi ne kaha Ayatul Kursi woh Sahabi kehte hain mera jawab sun kar Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apna dast mubarak mere donon kandhon ke darmiyan rakh diya jis ki thandak maine apne seene mein mehsoos ki aur Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya aye Abumanzar tumhen ilm mubarak ho.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا السَّلِيلِ قَالَ: كَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يُكْثَرَ عَلَيْهِ، فَيَصْعَدَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتٍ فَيُحَدِّثَ النَّاسَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَيُّ آيَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ أَعْظَمُ؟" قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ سورة البقرة آية 255، قَالَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ، قَالَ: فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيَّ، أَوْ قَالَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيَّ فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ، قَالَ:" يَهْنِكَ يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ، الْعِلْمُ الْعِلْمُ" .
