It is narrated by Yusuf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Are we better or those who will come after us?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Even if someone from those who come after you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, they would not be able to reach even half of one of your Mudds, or even half of that."

حضرت یوسف رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ کیا ہم لوگ زیادہ بہتر ہیں یا جو ہمارے بعد آئیں گے وہ؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا اگر بعد والوں میں سے کوئی شخص احد پہاڑ کے برابر سونا بھی خرچ کر دے تو تمہارے ایک مد یا اس کے نصف کے برابر بھی نہیں پہنچ سکتا۔
Hazrat Yousaf Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki unhon ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam se poocha ki kya hum log zyada behtar hain ya jo humare baad aayen ge wo? Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne irshad farmaya agar baad walon mein se koi shakhs uhud pahar ke barabar sona bhi kharch kar de to tumhare ek mud ya uske nisf ke barabar bhi nahin pohanch sakta.
It is narrated on the authority of Yusuf bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that my name "Yusuf" was given by the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, rubbed his blessed hand over my head.

Hazrat Yusuf bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh mera naam "Yusuf" Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne rakha tha aur Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere sar par apna dast mubarak pheira tha.
It is narrated on the authority of Yusuf bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that my name "Yusuf" was kept by the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he rubbed his blessed hand over my head.
