Hadith of Umm Farwah (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 27103

It is narrated on the authority of Umm Farwah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the best of deeds. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times."


Grade: Sahih

حضرت ام فروہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے سب سے افضل عمل کے متعلق پوچھا، تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اول وقت پر نماز پڑھنا۔“

Hazrat Umm Farwa ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se sab se afzal amal ke mutalliq poocha, to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Awal waqt par namaz parhna."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِم ، ٍقَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّاتِهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ ، قَالَتْ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " الصَّلَاةُ لِأَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا" .

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 27104

It is narrated on the authority of Umm Farwah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the best of deeds. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Offering prayer at its earliest time."


Grade: Sahih

حضرت ام فروہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے سب سے افضل عمل کے متعلق پوچھا، تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اول وقت پر نماز پڑھنا۔“

Hazrat Umm Farwah raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se sab se afzal amal ke mutalliq poocha, to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Awal waqt par namaz padhna."

حَدَّثَنَا الْخُزَاعِيُّ , أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَر الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّام ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ الدُّنْيَا، عَنْ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ بَايَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَفْضَلِ الأْعَماَلِ، فَقَالَ: " الصَّلَاةُ لِأَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا" .

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ أَبِيهِ الدُّنْيَا ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ وَكَانَتْ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ , أَنَّها سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَ الْأَعْمَالَ، فَقَالَ: " إن أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَعْجِيلُ الصَّلَاةِ لِأَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا" .
