It is narrated from a companion, may Allah be pleased with him, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions, may Allah be pleased with them, “There are some among you to whom I do not give anything, but I entrust them to their faith.” Among them was Furat bin Hayyan, who belonged to Banu Ajl.

ایک صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ تم میں سے کچھ لوگ ایسے ہیں جنہیں میں کچھ بھی نہیں دیتا، بلکہ انہیں ان کے ایمان کے حوالے کر دیتا ہوں انہی میں فرات بن حیان ہے، ان کا تعلق بنوعجل سے تھا۔
Ek sahabi razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ke ek martaba nabi sali Allah alaihi wasallam ne apne sahaba razi Allah anhu se farmaya ke tum mein se kuch log aise hain jinhen main kuch bhi nahin deta, balke unhen un ke imaan ke hawale kar deta hun unhi mein Furaat bin Hayyan hai, un ka تعلق banu ajal se tha.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ:" إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا لَا أُعْطِيهِمْ شَيْئًا، أَكِلُهُمْ، مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانٍ"، قَالَ: مِنْ بَنِي عِجْل.
