Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10555
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The lower garment of the believer should be up to mid-calf, or up to the ankles, but whatever is below the ankles will be in the Fire."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مومن کا تہبند پنڈلی کی مچھلی تک ہوتا ہے یا نصف پنڈلی تک یا ٹخنوں تک پھر جو حصہ ٹخنوں کے نیچے رہے گا وہ جہنم میں ہوگا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya momin ka tehband pindi ki machhli tak hota hai ya nisf pindi tak ya takhno tak phir jo hissa takhno ke neeche rahe ga woh jahannam mein hoga.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ مَوْلَى الْحُرَقَةِ , قََالَ أَبِي وَهُوَ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: قََالَ: قََالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قََالَ: أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مِنْ أَنْصَافِ السَّاقَيْنِ فَأَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، إِلَى مَا فَوْقَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ، فَمَا كَانَ مِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَفِي النَّارِ" .
