Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10996
Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that on the Day of the Battle of the Trench, we said in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Our hearts have reached our throats (from fear). Is there any supplication that you can teach us?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Yes! Say this supplication: 'O Allah! Cover our flaws and replace our fear with peace.'" After that, Allah unleashed a windstorm upon the enemies and defeated them.

حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم نے غزوہ خندق کے دن بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ہمارے دل تو اچھل کر حلق میں آگئے ہیں، کوئی دعاء پڑھنے کے لئے ہو تو بتا دیجئے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہاں! یہ دعاء پڑھو کہ اے اللہ! ہمارے عیوب پر پردہ ڈال اور ہمارے خوف کو امن سے تبدیل فرما، اس کے بعد اللہ نے دشمنوں پر آندھی کو مسلط کردیا اور انہیں شکست سے دوچار کیا۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki hum ne Ghazwa Khandaq ke din bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasulullah! Humare dil to uchhal kar halaq mein aa gaye hain, koi dua padhne ke liye ho to bata dijiye? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Haan! Yeh dua padho ke Aye Allah! Humare uyoob par parda daal aur humare khauf ko aman se tabdeel farma, iske baad Allah ne dushmanon par aandhi ko musallat kar diya aur unhen shikast se dochar kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي رُبَيْحُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ نَقُولُهُ فَقَدْ بَلَغَتْ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ؟، قَالَ:" نَعَمْ، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا"، قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وُجُوهَ أَعْدَائِهِ بِالرِّيحِ، فَهَزَمَهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِالرِّيحِ.
