Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11025
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw some spit or impurity lying in the Qibla mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cleaned it with a pebble and forbade spitting in front or to the right, saying that one should spit to the left or under one's foot.

حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے قبلہ مسجد میں تھوک یا ناپاک کی ریزش لگی ہوئی دیکھی، نبی ﷺ نے اسے کنکری سے صاف کردیا اور سامنے یا دائیں جانب تھوکنے سے منع کرتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ بائیں جانب یا اپنے پاؤں کے نیچے تھوکنا چاہئے۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne qibla masjid mein thook ya napaak ki raeesh lagi hui dekhi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use kankri se saaf kardiya aur samne ya daen janib thokne se mana karte hue farmaya ki baen janib ya apne paon ke neeche thookna chahiye.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَحَكَّهَا بِحَصَاةٍ، ثُمَّ نَهَى أَنْ يَبْصُقَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَقَالَ:" لِيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى".
