Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11215
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: A man saw a snake in his house and he took up his spear and struck it, (injuring it so much so) that it could not move but did not die. He (the snake) then attacked and stung the man. The news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said, "There are some creatures among those living with you which are Jinn (spirits). When you see any such creature, pronounce a warning to it thrice, and if it appears before you after that, kill it, for it would be a devil."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی کو اپنے گھر میں ایک سانپ نظر آیا، اس نے اپنا نیزہ اٹھایا اور سانپ کو مارا جس سے وہ زخمی ہوگیا لیکن مر انہیں، بلکہ حملہ کرکے اس آدمی کو مار دیا، نبی ﷺ کو اس واقعے کی اطلاع ہوئی تو فرمایا کہ تمہارے ساتھ کچھ ایسی چیزیں بھی رہتی ہیں جو آباد کرنے والی ہوتی ہیں، جب تم انہیں دیکھا کرو تو پہلے تین مرتبہ انہیں بچنے کی تلقین کیا کرو، اس کے بعد بھی اگر وہ نظر آئیں تب انہیں مارا کرو
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA se marvi hai keh aik aadmi ko apne ghar mein aik saanp nazar aaya, us ne apna neza uthaya aur saanp ko mara jis se woh zakhmi hogaya lekin mar nahin, balkeh hamla karke us aadmi ko mar diya, Nabi SAW ko is waqeye ki ittila hui to farmaya keh tumhare sath kuch aisi cheezen bhi rehti hain jo abad karne wali hoti hain, jab tum unhen dekha karo to pehle teen martaba unhen bachne ki talqeen kiya karo, uske baad bhi agar woh nazar aayen tab unhen mara karo.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ صَيْفِيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: وَجَدَ رَجُلٌ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ حَيَّةً، فَأَخَذَ رُمْحَهُ فَشَكَّهَا فِيهِ، فَلَمْ تَمُتْ الْحَيَّةُ حَتَّى مَاتَ الرَّجُلُ، فَأُخْبِرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ مَعَكُمْ عَوَامِرَ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ شَيْئًا فَحَرِّجُوا عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ".
