The Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی سَعِید الخدرِیِّ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11355
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to eat something before going to the Eidgah on the day of Eid al-Fitr, and he would not offer any nafl prayers before the Eid prayer. When he had finished the Eid prayer, he would pray two rak'ahs.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ عیدالفطر کے دن عیدگاہ کی طرف نکلنے سے پہلے کچھ کھالیا کرتے تھے اور نماز عید سے پہلے نوافل نہیں پڑھتے تھے، جب نماز عید پڑھ لیتے تب دو رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Eid-ul-Fitr ke din Eidgah ki taraf nikalne se pehle kuch kha liya karte thy aur Namaz-e-Eid se pehle Nawafil nahi parhte thy, jab Namaz-e-Eid parh lete tab do rakaten parhte thy.
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: كَان رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُفْطِرُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ، وَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِذَا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ".
