Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11488
Yazid al-Faqir said: I said to Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him: There were some people among us who used to recite the Qur'an the most, pray the most, maintain ties of kinship, and fast the most, but now they have come out against us with their swords drawn. He said: I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "There will emerge a people who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will leave Islam just as an arrow leaves its prey."

یزید الفقیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے عرض کیا کہ ہم میں کچھ آدمی تھے جو ہم سب سے زیادہ قرآن کی تلاوت کرتے، سب سے زیادہ نماز پڑھتے، صلہ رحمی کرتے اور روزے رکھتے تھے، لیکن اب وہ ہمارے سامنے تلواریں سونت کر آگئے ہیں، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ عنقریب ایک ایسی قوم کا خروج ہوگا جو قرآن تو پڑھے گی لیکن وہ اس کے حلق سے نیچے نہیں اترے گا اور وہ لوگ دین سے اس طرح نکل جائیں گے جیسے تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے۔
Yazid al fuqair kahte hain ke aik martaba mein ne Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) se arz kya ke hum mein kuch aadmi the jo hum sab se zyada Quran ki tilawat karte, sab se zyada namaz parhte, sila rehmi karte aur rozy rakhte the, lekin ab wo humare samne talwaren sont kar aagaye hain, unhon ne farmaya ke mein ne Nabi (SAW) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ke anqareeb ek aisi qaum ka khurooj hoga jo Quran to parhe gi lekin wo us ke halaq se neeche nahin utre ga aur wo log deen se is tarah nikal jayen ge jaise teer shikar se nikal jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ: إِنَّ مِنَّا رِجَالًا هُمْ أَقْرَؤُنَا لِلْقُرْآنِ، وَأَكْثَرُنَا صَلَاةً، وَأَوْصَلُنَا لِلرَّحِمِ، وَأَكْثَرُنَا صَوْمًا، خَرَجُوا عَلَيْنَا بِأَسْيَافِهِمْ، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" يَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَؤُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ".
