Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11494
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man was narrating to Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) a hadith concerning the buying and selling of gold and silver, on the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him). Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took my hand and the hand of that man, and we went to Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him). He stood up to receive Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "They have narrated to me a hadith on your authority that you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding the buying and selling of gold and silver. Did you actually hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said, "I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, 'Sell gold for gold, and silver for silver, in equal amounts, hand to hand. Do not increase one over the other, and do not sell absent goods for present goods.'"

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالے سے سونے چاندی کی خریدو فروخت کے متعلق حدیث سنا رہا تھا، حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے میرا اور اس آدمی کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور ہم حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس پہنچ گئے، انہوں نے کھڑے ہو کر حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کا استقبال کیا، حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ انہوں نے مجھے ایک حدیث سنائی ہے اور ان کے خیال کے مطابق وہ حدیث آپ نے انہیں نبی ﷺ کے حوالے سے سنائی ہے، کیا واقعی آپ نے یہ حدیث نبی ﷺ سے سنی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھا اور اپنے کانوں سے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ سونا سونے کے بدلے اور چاندی چاندی کے بدلے برابر سرابر ہی بیچو، ایک دوسرے میں کمی بیشی نہ کرو اور ان میں سے کسی غائب کو حاضر کے بدلے میں مت بیچو۔
Nafi' rahmatullah alaih kahte hain ki ek shakhs Hazrat Ibn Umar razi Allah tala anhu ko Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri razi Allah tala anhu ke hawale se sone chandi ki khareed o farokht ke mutalliq hadees suna raha tha, Hazrat Ibn Umar razi Allah tala anhu ne mera aur us aadmi ka hath pakda aur hum Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri razi Allah tala anhu ke paas pahunche, unhon ne khde ho kar Hazrat Ibn Umar razi Allah tala anhu ka is'teqbal kiya, Hazrat Ibn Umar razi Allah tala anhu ne unse farmaya ki unhon ne mujhe ek hadees sunaai hai aur unke khayal ke mutabiq wo hadees aap ne unhen Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hawale se sunaai hai, kya waqai aap ne ye hadees Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai? Unhon ne farmaya ki maine apni aankhon se dekha aur apne kaanon se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna ki sona sone ke badle aur chandi chandi ke badle barabar sarabar hi becho, ek dusre mein kami beshi na karo aur in mein se kisi ghaib ko haazir ke badle mein mat becho.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، قَالَ: بَلَغَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَأْثُرُ حَدِيثًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّرْفِ، فَأَخَذَ يَدِي، فَذَهَبْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ وَالرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ: مَا حَدِيثٌ بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ تَأْثُرُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّرْفِ؟ فَقَالَ: سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ، وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ:" لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَلَا الْفِضَّةَ بِالْفِضَّةِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَلَا تُفَضِّلُوا بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا مِنْهَا غَائِبًا بِنَاجِزٍ".
