Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11506
Amir says that once Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Marwan were sitting when a funeral procession passed by. Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up but Marwan said, "Sit down." Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "A funeral procession passed in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up." Upon this, Marwan also had to stand up.

عامر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ اور مروان بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ وہاں سے کسی جنازے کا گذر ہوا، حضرت ابو سعید رضی اللہ عنہ کھڑے ہوگئے لیکن مروان کہنے لگا کہ بیٹھ جائیے، حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ کے سامنے سے جنازہ گذرا تھا تو آپ ﷺ کھڑے ہوگئے تھے، اس پر مروان کو بھی کھڑا ہونا پڑا۔
Aamir kehte hain keh aik martaba Hazrat Abusaeed Khudri raziallahu anhu aur Marwan baithe huye thy keh wahan se kisi janaze ka guzar huwa, Hazrat Abu Saeed raziallahu anhu khary huye lekin Marwan kehne laga keh baith jaiye, Hazrat Abusaeed Khudri raziallahu anhu ne farmaya keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke samne se janaza guzara tha to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khary huye thy, iss par Marwan ko bhi khara hona para.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، ووكيع , عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا ، حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرٌ , قَالَ: كَانَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَمَرْوَانُ جَالِسَيْنِ، فَمُرَّ عَلَيْهِمَا بِجَنَازَةٍ، فَقَامَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ: اجْلِسْ، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ :" رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ" , فَقَامَ مَرْوَانُ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ: مَرَّتْ بِهِ جَنَازَةٌ، فَقَامَ".
