Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11528
Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once some dates were presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which he liked very much. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) said, "O Messenger of Allah! We have taken these for you in exchange for two Sa's for one Sa'." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) expressed his disapproval and forbade them from doing so.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں کچھ کھجوریں پیش کی گئیں، جن کی عمدگی آپ کو بہت اچھی لگی، صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! یہ ہم نے آپ کے تناول فرمانے کے لئے دو صاع کے بدلے ایک صاع لی ہیں، تو نبی ﷺ نے اس پر ناپسندیدگی کا اظہار فرمایا اور اس سے منع فرما دیا۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein kuchh khajoorein pesh ki gayin, jin ki umdagi aap ko bahut achhi lagi, Sahaba raziallahu anhu ne arz kiya ke ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! yeh hum ne aap ke tanavil farmane ke liye do saa ke badle ek saa li hain, to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is par napasandidgi ka izhar farmaya aur is se mana farma diya.
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ، فَأَعْجَبَهُ جَوْدَتُهُ، فَقَالُوا:" يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّا أَخَذْنَا صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ لِنَطْعَمَهُ، فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ وَنَهَى عَنْهُ".
