Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11700
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Sell gold for gold, and silver for silver, in equal measure and hand to hand. Do not increase or decrease one for the other, and do not sell absent goods in exchange for present goods.”

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا سونا سونے کے بدلے اور چاندی چاندی کے بدلے برابر سرابر ہی بیچو، ایک دوسرے میں کمی بیشی نہ کرو اور ان میں سے کسی غائب کو حاضر کے بدلے میں مت بیچو۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya sona sone ke badle aur chandi chandi ke badle barabar sarabar hi becho, ek dusre mein kami beshi na karo aur in mein se kisi ghaib ko hazir ke badle mein mat becho.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، لَا يَشِفُّ بَعْضُهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا الْوَرِقَ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، لَا يَشِفُّ بَعْضُهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا غَائِبًا بِنَاجِزٍ".
