Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11704
Abu Salma (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Once I went to Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and requested, "Let us go to the garden and talk." So we went, and I asked him to tell me what he had heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding Laylat al-Qadr. He said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed I'tikaf (seclusion) during the first ten days of Ramadan. We also observed I'tikaf with him. Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to him and said, 'The thing you are seeking is ahead of you.' (So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed I'tikaf in the middle ten days, and the same thing happened). When the morning of the twentieth dawned, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to deliver the Khutbah (sermon) and said, 'Whoever was observing I'tikaf should continue his I'tikaf. I saw Laylat al-Qadr, but then it was made unclear for me. However, that night I saw myself prostrating in mud. At that time, there were no clouds in the sky, then suddenly clouds gathered. The roof of the Prophet's Mosque at that time was made of palm branches, and it rained that night. I saw the marks of mud on the nose and forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This confirmed the dream of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."

ابوسلمہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس گیا اور عرض کیا کہ باغ میں چل کر باتیں نہ کریں، وہ چل پڑے، میں نے ان سے عرض کیا کہ شب قدر کے حوالے سے آپ نے نبی ﷺ سے جو کچھ سنا ہے وہ مجھے بھی بتائیے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے رمضان کے پہلے عشرے کا اعتکاف فرمایا: ہم نے بھی آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ اعتکاف کیا، حضرت جبرائیل ان کے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا کہ آپ جس چیز کو تلاش کررہے ہیں وہ آگے ہے۔ (چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے درمیانی عشرے کا اعتکاف کیا اور اس میں بھی یہی ہوا) جب بیسویں تاریخ کی صبح ہوئی تو نبی ﷺ خطبہ دینے کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا جو شخص معتکف تھا وہ اب بھی اپنے اعتکاف میں ہی رہے، میں نے شب قدر کو دیکھ لیا تھا لیکن پھر مجھے اس کی تعیین بھلا دی گئی، البتہ اس رات میں نے اپنے آپ کو کیچڑ میں سجدہ کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تھا، اس وقت آسمان پر دور دور تک بادل نہیں تھے، اچانک بادل آئے، اس زمانے میں مسجد نبوی کی چھت لکڑی کی تھی، اسی رات بارش ہوئی اور میں نے دیکھا کہ نبی ﷺ کی ناک اور پیشانی پر کیچڑ کے نشان پڑگئے ہیں، یہ نبی ﷺ کے خواب کی تصدیق تھی۔
AbuSalma rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba main Hazrat AbuSaeed Khudri razi Allah tala anhu ke pass gaya aur arz kiya ke bagh mein chal kar baatein na karein, woh chal pade, main ne un se arz kiya ke Shab e Qadr ke hawale se aap ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se jo kuchh suna hai woh mujhe bhi bataiye, unhon ne farmaya ke ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Ramzan ke pehle ashre ka itikaf farmaya: hum ne bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath itikaf kiya, Hazrat Jibraeel un ke pass aaye aur arz kiya ke aap jis cheez ko talaash kar rahe hain woh aage hai. (Chunanche Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne darmiyani ashre ka itikaf kiya aur is mein bhi yahi hua) Jab beeswein tareekh ki subah hui to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khutba dene ke liye khade huye aur farmaya jo shakhs motakif tha woh ab bhi apne itikaf mein hi rahe, main ne Shab e Qadr ko dekh liya tha lekin phir mujhe is ki ta'yeen bhula di gayi, albatta is raat main ne apne aap ko keechad mein sajde karte huye dekha tha, is waqt aasman par door door tak badal nahin the, achanak badal aaye, is zamane mein Masjid e Nabvi ki chhat lakdi ki thi, isi raat baarish hui aur main ne dekha ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki naak aur peshani par keechad ke nishan pad gaye hain, yeh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke khwab ki tasdeeq thi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ: انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَلَا تَخْرُجُ بِنَا إِلَى النَّخْلِ نَتَحَدَّثُ؟ قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: حَدِّثْنِي مَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ؟ قَالَ: اعْتَكَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَشْرَ الْأُوَلَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَاعْتَكَفْنَا مَعَهُ، فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الَّذِي تَطْلُبُ أَمَامَكَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ صَبِيحَةُ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا، فَقَالَ:" مَنْ كَانَ اعْتَكَفَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلْيَرْجِعْ، فَإِنِّي أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ، وَإِنَّهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فِي وَتْرٍ، وَإِنِّي أُنْسِيتُهَا، وَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي أَسْجُدُ فِي طِينٍ وَمَاءٍ". قَالَ: وَمَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ: أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: قَزَعَةً، سَمَّى الْغَيْمَ بِاسْمٍ فَجَاءَتْ سَحَابَةٌ، وَكَانَ سَقْفُ الْمَسْجِدِ جَرِيدَ النَّخْلِ، فَأُمْطِرْنَا، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَرَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ الطِّينِ وَالْمَاءِ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَرْنَبَتِهِ، تَصْدِيقًا لِرُؤْيَاهُ.
