Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 12343
It is narrated on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that if the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) found a date lying on the way, and he did not fear that it might belong to someone's charity, he would eat it.

حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کو راستے میں کھجور پڑی ہوئی ملتی اور انہیں یہ اندیشہ نہ ہوتا کہ یہ صدقہ کی ہوگی تو وہ اسے کھالیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَرَى التَّمْرَةَ، فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ يَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً لَأَكَلَهَا".
