Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14185
Narrated by Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I knocked on the door of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked for permission. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: Who is it? I said: It's me. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Me, me"? It is as if the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked it.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کے دروازے پر دستک دے کر اجازت طلب کی نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا: کون ہے؟ میں نے کہا کہ میں ہوں نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: کیا میں میں لگائی ہوئی ہے؟ گویا نبی ﷺ نے اسے ناپسند کیا۔
Syedna Jaber Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai keh aik martaba maine Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ke darwaze per dastak de kar ijazat talab ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne poocha: kon hai? maine kaha keh main hoon Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya: kya main main lagai hoi hai? Goya Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne ise napasand kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" مَنْ ذَا؟" فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَنَا أَنَا!"، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ قَوْلَهُ: أَنَا.
