Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14297
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (ra) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) encouraged the people three times (to bring news of the enemy), and all three times Sayyiduna Zubair (ra) presented himself for this service, upon which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Every Prophet has a disciple, and my disciple is Zubair.”

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے غزوہ خندق کے دن لوگوں کو (دشمن کی خبر لانے کے لئے) تین مرتبہ ترغیب دی اور تینوں مرتبہ سیدنا زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے آپ کو اس خدمت کے لئے پیش کیا، جس پر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہر نبی کا ایک حواری ہوتا ہے اور میرے حواری زبیر ہیں۔“
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Ghazwa Khandaq ke din logon ko (dushman ki khabar lane ke liye) teen martaba targhib di aur teeno martaba Sayyidna Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne apne aap ko is khidmat ke liye pesh kiya, jis par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Har nabi ka ek hawari hota hai aur mere hawari Zubair hain."
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ: نَدَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ، ثُمَّ نَدَبَ النَّاسَ، فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ، ثُمَّ نَدَبَ النَّاسَ، فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا، وَحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ"، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ.
