Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14309
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) was delivering a sermon. A man came and sat down. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Have you prayed?" He said, "No." The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered him to pray two rak'ahs.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ خطبہ ارشاد فرما رہے تھے ایک صاحب آئے اور بیٹھ گئے نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا کہ کیا تم نے نماز پڑھی ہے انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے انہیں دو رکعتیں پڑھنے کا حکم دیا۔
Sayyidna Jabir razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khutba irshad farma rahe the ek sahib aaye aur baith gaye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se pucha ki kya tumne namaz parhi hai unhon ne kaha: nahi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen do rakatain parhne ka hukum diya.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَصَلَّيْتَ؟" قَالَ: لَا قَالَ:" صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ".
