The Musnad of Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him)

مُسْنَدُ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14630

Then he said, "I have more rights over the Muslims than their own selves. Whoever leaves behind wealth, it belongs to his family. And whoever leaves behind a debt or children, then I am responsible for them."

پھر فرمایا کہ میں مسلمانوں پر ان کی جان سے زیادہ حق رکھتا ہوں جو شخص مال دولت چھوڑ جائے وہ اس کے اہل خانہ کا ہے اور جو شخص قرض یا بچے چھوڑ جائے وہ میرے ذمے ہے۔

Phir farmaya keh mein musalmanon per un ki jaan se zyada haq rakhta hun jo shakhs maal daulat chhor jaye woh us ke ahl khana ka hai aur jo shakhs qarz ya bachay chhor jaye woh mere zimme hai.

(حديث موقوف) ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ يَقُول:" أَنَا أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا، فَلِأَهْلِهِ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا، فَإِلَيَّ وَعَلَيَّ، وَأَنَا أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ".
