Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14821
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once said that a righteous man saw in a dream tonight that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was weighed against the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was weighed against Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and then Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) against Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when we got up and left the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we were saying among ourselves that this righteous man is none other than the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself and as far as weighing is concerned, it indicates that they will be responsible for the affairs of this religion that Allah sent through His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ فرمایا کہ آج رات ایک نیک آدمی نے خواب میں دیکھا کہ سیدنا ابوبکر کا وزن نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ کیا گیا پھر سیدنا عمر کا وزن سیدنا ابوبکر کے ساتھ کیا گیا پھر سیدنا عثمان کا سیدنا عمر کے ساتھ، سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں جب ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کے پاس سے اٹھ کر چلے گئے تو ہم آپس میں یہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ اس نیک آدمی سے مراد تو خود نبی ﷺ ہیں اور جہاں تک وزن کا معاملہ ہے سو اس سے اس بات کی طرف اشارہ ہے کہ وہ اس دین کے معاملے کے ذمہ دار ہوں گے جو اللہ نے اپنے نبی ﷺ کو دے کر بھیجا ہے۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba farmaya ki aaj raat ek nek aadmi ne khwab mein dekha ki Sayyidna Abu Bakr ka wazan Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kiya gaya phir Sayyidna Umar ka wazan Sayyidna Abu Bakr ke sath kiya gaya phir Sayyidna Usman ka Sayyidna Umar ke sath, Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain jab hum log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass se uth kar chale gaye to hum aapas mein ye keh rahe the ki is nek aadmi se muraad to khud Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hain aur jahan tak wazan ka mamla hai so is se is baat ki taraf ishara hai ki wo is deen ke mamle ke zimmedar honge jo Allah ne apne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko de kar bheja hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْدِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" أُرِيَ اللَّيْلَةَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ نِيطَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَنِيطَ عُمَرُ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَنِيطَ عُثْمَانُ بِعُمَرَ"، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَلَمَّا قُمْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قُلْنَا: أَمَّا الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ فَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَمَّا ذِكْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْطِ بَعْضِهِمْ بِبَعْضٍ، فَهُمْ وُلَاةُ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
