Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15058
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was in the shade of my house when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me. When I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I jumped up and followed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Come close to me." So I came close. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took my hand and we both walked until we entered the house of either the respected Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) or Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went inside and after a while, allowed me to enter as well. I entered and the Mother of the Believers was in her veil. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked her, "Do you have anything to eat?" She replied, "Yes," and three loaves of bread were brought and placed on the cloth. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Do you have any curry?" She submitted, "No, but there is a little vinegar." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Bring it." So the vinegar was presented. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed one loaf in front of himself and one loaf in front of me. Then he broke the third loaf into two pieces, placed half in front of himself and half in front of me.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اپنے گھر کے سائے میں تھا کہ نبی ﷺ میرے پاس سے گزرے میں نے جب نبی ﷺ کو دیکھا تو کود کر نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے ہو لیا نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: میرے قریب ہو جاؤ چنانچہ میں قریب ہو گیا نبی ﷺ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور ہم دونوں چلتے ہوئے کسی زوجہ محترمہ ام سلمہ یا سیدنا زینب بن جحش کے حجرے میں داخل ہوئے نبی ﷺ اندرچلے گئے اور تھوڑی دیر بعد مجھے بھی آنے کی اجازت دیدی میں اندر داخل ہوا تو ام المومنین حجاب میں تھیں نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا کہ تمہارے پاس کھانے کے لئے کچھ ہے انہوں نے جواب دیا جی ہاں اور تین روٹیاں لا کر دسترخوان پر رکھ دی گئیں نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا کہ تمہارے پاس کوئی سالن بھی ہے انہوں نے عرض کیا: نہیں البتہ تھوڑا ساسر کہ ہے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: وہی لے آؤ چنانچہ سرکہ پیش کیا گیا نبی ﷺ نے ایک روٹی اپنے سامنے رکھی اور ایک میرے سامنے رکھی اور ایک روٹی کے دو ٹکڑے کئے جن میں سے آدھا اپنے سامنے رکھا اور آدھا میرے سامنے رکھا۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba mein apne ghar ke saaye mein tha ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mere paas se guzre mein ne jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha to kood kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche ho liya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: mere qareeb ho jao chunancha mein qareeb ho gaya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mera hath pakda aur hum dono chalte huye kisi zoaja muhtarama Umm Salma ya Sayyidna Zainab bint Jahsh ke hujray mein dakhil huye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) andar chale gaye aur thodi der baad mujhe bhi aane ki ijazat di di mein andar dakhil hua to Umm al-Momineen hijab mein thin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se pucha ki tumhare paas khane ke liye kuchh hai unhon ne jawab diya ji han aur teen rotiyan la kar dastarkhwan par rakh di gayin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha ki tumhare paas koi salan bhi hai unhon ne arz kiya: nahin albatta thoda sa sirka hai Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: wohi le aao chunancha sirka pesh kiya gaya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek roti apne samne rakhi aur ek mere samne rakhi aur ek roti ke do tukde kiye jin mein se aadha apne samne rakha aur aadha mere samne rakha.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ , قَال: سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ , يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ: كُنْتُ فِي ظِلِّ دَارِي , فَمَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ وَثَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَمْشِي خَلْفَهُ , فَقَالَ:" ادْنُ"، فَدَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ , فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي، فَانْطَلَقْنَا حَتَّى أَتَى بَعْضَ حُجَرِ نِسَائِهِ , أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَوْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ , فَدَخَلَ ثُمَّ أَذِنَ لِي , فَدَخَلْتُ وَعَلَيْهَا الْحِجَابُ , فَقَالَ:" أَعِنْدَكُمْ غَدَاءٌ؟"، فَقَالُوا: نَعَمْ، فَأُتِيَ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَقْرِصَةٍ , فَوُضِعَتْ عَلَى نَقِيٍّ , فَقَالَ:" هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ أُدُمٍ؟"، فَقَالُوا: لَا إِلَّا شَيْءٌ مِنْ خَلٍّ، قَالَ:" هَاتُوهُ"، فَأَتَوْهُ بِهِ , فَأَخَذَ قُرْصًا فَوَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ , وَقُرْصًا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ , وَكَسَرَ الثَّالِثَ بِاثْنَيْنِ , فَوَضَعَ نِصْفًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ , وَنِصْفًا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ.
