Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15067
It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a man came and sat down. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him: "Have you prayed?" He said, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded him to pray two rak'ahs.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ خطبہ ارشاد فرما رہے تھے کہ ایک صاحب آئے اور بیٹھ گئے نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا: کیا تم نے نماز پڑھی ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا نہیں نبی ﷺ نے انہیں دو رکعتیں پڑھنے کا حکم دیا۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khutba irshad farma rahe the ki ek sahib aaye aur baith gaye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unse pucha kya tumne namaz parhi hai unhon ne kaha nahin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen do rakat padhne ka hukum diya
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ , أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَخْطُبُ , فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَرَكَعْتَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ؟"، قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ:" فَارْكَعْ".
