Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15078
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: We took an oath of allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him) at the time of the treaty of Hudaibiya that we would not run away from the battlefield. We did not take an oath of allegiance for death.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم نے صلح حدیبیہ کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ سے اس بات پر بیعت کی تھی کہ ہم میدان جنگ سے راہ فرار اختیار نہیں کر یں گے موت پر بیعت نہیں کی تھی۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki hum ne sulh hudaibiya ke mauke par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is baat par bai'at ki thi ki hum maidan e jang se rah e firar ikhtiyar nahi karenge maut par bai'at nahi ki thi.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا , يَقُولُ:" لَمْ نُبَايِعْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ , إِنَّمَا بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نَفِرَّ".
