Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15274
Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade us from (eating) onions and garlic. Rabia' said: I asked `Ata' about it and he said: Jabir ibn Abdullah told me that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade that.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ہمیں پیاز اور لہسن سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ ربیع کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عطاء سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا: تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ مجھے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ حدیث سنائی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اس بات سے منع فرمایا ہے۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hamen pyaaz aur lahsan se mana farmaya hai. Rabie kehte hain ki maine Ata se iske mutalliq poocha: to unhon ne bataya ki mujhe Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne ye hadees sunaai hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is baat se mana farmaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ , حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَبِيحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" نَهَانَا عَنْ أَكْلِ الْكُرَّاثِ وَالْبَصَلِ"، قَالَ الرَّبِيعُ فَسَأَلْتُ عَطَاءً عَنْ ذَلِكَ , فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ.
