Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16455
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went out for the prayer for rain. On this occasion, he turned his cloak inside out while facing the Qibla. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood and continued to supplicate, and then it rained.

سیدنا عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نماز استستقاء کے لئے نکلے، اس موقع پر قبلہ کا رخ کر کے آپ نے اپنی چادر پلٹ لی تھی، نبی ﷺ کھڑے ہو کر دعاء فرماتے رہے چنانچہ بارش ہو گئی۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Namaz Istisqa ke liye nikle is mauqe par qibla ka rukh kar ke aap ne apni chadar palat li thi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kharay ho kar dua farmate rahe chunancha barish ho gai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ : أَنَّ عَمَّهُ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،" أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ، فَقَامَ فَدَعَا قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، فَأُسْقُوا".
