Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17405
It was narrated from 'Uqbah bin 'Amir that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: "If there was to be a Prophet after me, it would have been 'Umar bin Al-Khattab."
Grade: Da'if
حضرت عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اگر میرے بعد کوئی نبی ہوتا تو وہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ ہوتے۔
Hazrat Aqba bin Aamir Radi Allaho Anhu se marvi hai keh maine Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko ye farmate hue suna hai keh agar mere baad koi nabi hota to woh Umar bin Khattab Radi Allaho Anhu hote.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّ مِشْرَحَ بْنَ هَاعَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " لَوْ كَانَ مِنْ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ، لَكَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ" .
