Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17972
Two men once came to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, with a request for charity and donations. The Prophet looked at them from head to toe and found them to be healthy and strong. The Prophet said, "If you wish, I can give you [charity], but in it there is neither the share of a wealthy person, nor of someone powerful who can earn it."

دو آدمی ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں صدقات و عطیات کی درخواست لے کر آئے، نبی ﷺ نے نگاہ اٹھا کر انہیں اوپر سے نیچے تک دیکھا اور انہیں تندرست و توانا پایا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تم چاہتے ہو تو میں تمہیں دے دیتا ہوں، لیکن اس میں کسی مالدار شخص کا کوئی حصہ ہے اور نہ ہی کسی ایسے طاقتور کا جو کمائی کرسکے۔
Do aadmi aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein sadqaat o atiyaat ki darkhwast lekar aaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne nigah utha kar unhen oper se neeche tak dekha aur unhen tandarust o tawana paya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar tum chahte ho to main tumhen de deta hun, lekin is mein kisi maldar shakhs ka koi hissa hai aur na hi kisi aise taqatwar ka jo kamai karsake.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَي أَبِي ، أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ أَخْبَرَاهُ، أَنَّهُمَا أَتَيَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلَانِهِ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَلَّبَ فِيهِمَا الْبَصَرَ، وَرَآهُمَا جَلْدَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنْ شِئْتُمَا أَعْطَيْتُكُمَا، وَلَا حَظَّ فِيهَا لِغَنِيٍّ وَلَا لِقَوِيٍّ مُكْتَسِبٍ" ..
