Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18252
It is narrated on the authority of Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever among you can save himself from the Hellfire, even with half a date, should do so."

حضرت عدی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا تم میں سے جو شخص جہنم سے بچ سکتا ہو خواہ کھجور کے ایک ٹکڑے ہی کے عوض تو وہ ایسا ہی کرے۔
Hazrat Adi Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya tum mein se jo shakhs jahannum se bach sakta ho chahe khajoor ke ek tukde hi ke awaz to wo aisa hi kare.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ" .
