Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1826

Ya'la bin Uqbah got married during the month of Ramadan. He spent the night with his wife, and in the morning, he was in a state of Janabah (ritual impurity after intercourse). He met Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it. He said, "Do not fast." Ya'la said, "Can I not keep the fast for today and intend for another day?" He replied, "Do not fast." Then, Ya'la came to Marwan and told him about the incident. Marwan sent someone to Umm al-Mu'minin (the Mother of the Believers), may Allah be pleased with her, to inquire about this matter from Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman. She said, "Sometimes, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would also be in a state of Janabah in the morning, and this would not be due to a wet dream, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would fast." The messenger came back to Marwan and conveyed this. Marwan told Ya'la, "Go and tell this to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him)." Ya'la said, "He is my neighbor." Marwan said, "I urge you to go and meet him and tell him this." So, Ya'la met him and told him this Hadith. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I did not hear that from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) myself, but Fazl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) had told me this." The narrator said, "Later, I met Raja and asked him who had narrated this Hadith of Ya'la to him. He said, 'Ya'la himself told me this Hadith.'"

یعلی بن عقبہ نے ماہ رمضان میں شادی کی، رات اپنی بیوی کے پاس گذاری، صبح ہوئی تو وہ جنبی تھے، انہوں نے سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملاقات کی اور ان سے یہ مسئلہ پوچھا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ روزہ نہ رکھو، یعلی نے کہا کہ میں آج کا روزہ رکھ کر کسی دوسرے دن کی نیت نہ کر لوں؟ فرمایا: روزہ نہ رکھو۔ پھر یعلی مروان کے پاس آئے اور ان سے یہ واقعہ بیان کیا۔ مروان نے ابوبکر بن عبدالرحمن کو ام المومنین کے پاس یہ مسئلہ دریافت کرنے کے لئے بھیجا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ بھی صبح کے وقت جنبی ہوتے تھے اور ایسا ہونا احتلام کی وجہ سے نہیں ہوتا تھا، پھر نبی ﷺ روزہ بھی رکھ لیتے تھے۔ قاصد نے مروان کے پاس آ کر یہ بات بتا دی، مروان نے یعلی سے کہا کہ جا کر یہ بات سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو بتانا، یعلی نے کہا کہ وہ میرے پڑوسی ہیں، مروان نے کہا کہ میں تمہیں قسم دیتا ہوں کہ ان سے مل کر انہیں یہ بات ضرور بتانا۔ چنانچہ یعلی نے ان سے ملاقات کی اور انہیں یہ حدیث سنائی، سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے کہ میں نے وہ بات نبی ﷺ سے خود نہیں سنی تھی، بلکہ مجھے وہ بات فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بتائی تھی، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ بعد میں میری ملاقات رجاء سے ہوئی تو میں نے ان سے پوچھا کہ یعلی کی یہ حدیث آپ سے کس نے بیان کی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: خود یعلی نے مجھے یہ حدیث سنائی ہے۔

Yali bin Aqba ne mah Ramzan mein shadi ki, raat apni biwi ke pas guzari, subah hui to woh junubi the, unhon ne Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se mulaqat ki aur unse yeh masla pucha, unhon ne farmaya ke roza na rakho, Yali ne kaha ke main aaj ka roza rakh kar kisi dusre din ki niyat na kar lun? Farmaya: roza na rakho. Phir Yali Marwan ke pas aaye aur unse yeh waqea bayan kiya. Marwan ne Abubakar bin Abdul Rahman ko Umm al-Momineen ke pas yeh masla daryaft karne ke liye bheja, unhon ne farmaya ke baaz auqat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi subah ke waqt junubi hote the aur aisa hona ehtelam ki wajah se nahi hota tha, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) roza bhi rakh lete the. Qasid ne Marwan ke pas aa kar yeh baat bata di, Marwan ne Yali se kaha ke ja kar yeh baat Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ko batana, Yali ne kaha ke woh mere padosi hain, Marwan ne kaha ke main tumhen qasam deta hun ke unse mil kar unhen yeh baat zaroor batana. Chunancha Yali ne unse mulaqat ki aur unhen yeh hadees sunai, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu kehne lage ke maine woh baat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se khud nahi suni thi, balke mujhe woh baat Fazl bin Abbas razi Allah anhuma ne batai thi, ravi kehte hain ke baad mein meri mulaqat Raja se hui to maine unse pucha ke Yali ki yeh hadees aap se kis ne bayan ki hai? Unhon ne farmaya: khud Yali ne mujhe yeh hadees sunai hai.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ، قالَ: بَنَى يَعْلَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَأَصْبَحَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ، فَلَقِيَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَسَأَلَهُ، فقال: أفطر , قَالَ: أَفَلَا أَصُومُ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ؟ وَأُجْزِيُهُ مِنْ يَوْمٍ آخَرَ؟ قَالَ: أَفْطِرْ، فَأَتَى مَرْوَانَ فَحَدَّثَهُ، فَأَرْسَلَ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ إِلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَسَأَلَهَا، فَقَالَتْ" قَدْ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ فِينَا جُنُبًا مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ، ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا"، فَرَجَعَ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ فَحَدَّثَهُ، فَقَالَ: الْقَ بِهَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ: جَارى جَارى، فَقَالَ: أَعْزِمُ عَلَيْكَ لَتَلْقَانِهِ بِهِ، قَالَ: فَلَقِيَهُ فَحَدَّثَهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِنَّمَا أَنْبَأَنِيهِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَقِيتُ رَجَاءً، فَقُلْتُ: حَدِيثُ يَعْلَى مَنْ حَدَّثَكَهُ؟ قَالَ: إِيَّايَ حَدَّثَهُ.
