Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18486
Bura' رضی اللہ عنہ was jokingly asked by a man that you people, despite being companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, fled leaving him behind? Bura' رضی اللہ عنہ replied that I bear witness that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ did not choose the path of escape. And I saw Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at the time of the digging of the trench that you ﷺ were carrying the dug out soil along with the people and Abdullah bin Rawaaha رضی اللہ عنہ was reciting these verses: O Allah! Had you not been there, we would not have been able to be rightly guided, give charity and offer prayers. So, bless us with tranquility and composure and make us steadfast when we encounter the enemy. These people have transgressed against us and when they intend to inflict any mischief, we refuse them. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would raise his voice upon hearing this last sentence.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے ایک آدمی نے یونہی مذاق میں کہا کہ آپ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ ہونے کے باوجود انہیں چھوڑ کر بھاگ گئے تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے متعلق تو میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ انہوں نے راہ فرار اختیار نہیں کی اور میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو خندق کی کھدائی کے موقع پر دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ لوگوں کے ساتھ مٹی اٹھاتے جارہے ہیں اور حضرت عبداللہ بن رواحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے یہ اشعار پڑھتے جارہے ہیں اے اللہ! اگر تو نہ ہوتا تو ہم ہدایت پاسکتے صدقہ کرتے اور نہ ہی نماز پڑھ سکتے، لہٰذا تو ہم پر سکینہ نازل فرما اور دشمن آمنا سامنا ہونے پر ہمیں ثابت قدمی عطاء فرما ان لوگوں نے ہم پر سرکشی کی ہے اور وہ جب کسی فتنے کا ارادہ کرتے ہیں تو ہم انکار کردیتے ہیں، اس آخری جملے پر نبی کریم ﷺ اپنی آواز بلند فرمالیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Bara RA se aik aadmi ne yunhi mazaq mein kaha keh aap log Nabi Kareem SAW ke sahabi RA hone ke bawajood unhen chhod kar bhaag gaye thay? Unhon ne farmaya keh Nabi Kareem SAW ke mutalliq to mein gawahi deta hun keh unhon ne raah firar ikhtiyar nahin ki aur maine Nabi Kareem SAW ko khandaq ki khudai ke mauqe per dekha keh aap SAW logon ke sath mitti uthate ja rahe hain aur Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawahah RA ke yeh ashaar parhte ja rahe hain Aye Allah! Agar tu na hota to hum hidayat paasakte sadqah karte aur na hi namaz parh sakte, lihaza tu hum per sakina nazil farma aur dushman aamna samna hone per hamen sabat qadmi ata farma in logon ne hum per sarkashi ki hai aur woh jab kisi fitne ka irada karte hain to hum inkar karte hain, is aakhri jumle per Nabi Kareem SAW apni aawaz buland farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلْبَرَاءِ وَهُوَ يَمْزَحُ مَعَهُ: قَدْ فَرَرْتُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابُهُ. قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ :" إِنِّي لَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا فَرَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ" . وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُفِرَ الْخَنْدَقُ، وَهُوَ " يَنْقُلُ مَعَ النَّاسِ التُّرَابَ" ، وَهُوَ يَتَمَثَّلُ كَلِمَةَ ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ: اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلَا أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا وَلَا تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا وَثَبِّتْ الْأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لَاقَيْنَا فَإِنَّ الْأُلَى قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا وَإِنْ أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا"، يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ.
