Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18540
A man from the tribe of Qais asked Bara Radi Allahu Anhu, "Did you people run away leaving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the time of the Battle of Hunayn?" Bara Radi Allahu Anhu replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not run away. Actually, when some hasty people ran away, the people of Banu Hawazin started showering arrows from the front. At that time, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) riding on a white mule, whose reins were held by Abu Sufyan bin Harith Radi Allahu Anhu, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was saying, 'I am the true Prophet, there is no lie in it, I am the son of Abdullah.'"

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے قبیلہ قیس کے ایک آدمی نے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ لوگ غزوہ حنین کے موقع پر نبی کریم ﷺ کو چھوڑ کر بھاگ اٹھے تھے؟ حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ تو نہیں بھاگے تھے دراصل کچھ جلد باز لوگ بھاگ تو ان پر بنوہوازن کے لوگ سامنے سے تیروں کی بوچھاڑ کرنے لگے میں نے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کو ایک سفید خچر پر سوار دیکھا جس کی لگام حضرت ابوسفیان بن حارث رضی اللہ عنہ نے تھام رکھی تھی اور نبی کریم ﷺ کہتے جارہے تھے کہ میں سچا نبی ہوں، اس میں کوئی جھوٹ نہیں میں عبدالمطلب کا بیٹا ہوں۔
Hazrat Bara raziallahu anhu se qabeela qais ke aik aadmi ne poocha ke kya aap log ghazwa hunain ke mauqe par nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko chhod kar bhaag uthhe the? Hazrat Bara raziallahu anhu ne farmaya ke nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to nahi bhaage the darasal kuch jaldbaz log bhaag to un par banu hawazin ke log samne se teeron ki bauchhar karne lage main ne us waqt nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko aik safaid khichar par sawar dekha jis ki lagaam hazrat abusufiyan bin harith raziallahu anhu ne thaam rakhi thi aur nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kahte ja rahe the ke main sacha nabi hun, is mein koi jhoot nahi main abdulmuttalib ka beta hun.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلْبَرَاءِ : يَا أَبَا عُمَارَةَ، وَلَّيْتُمْ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ؟ قَالَ: لَا وَاللَّهِ، ما ولى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَكِنْ وَلَّى سَرَعَانُ النَّاسِ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْهُمْ هَوَازِنُ بِالنَّبْلِ، قَالَ: فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الْبَيْضَاءِ، وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ آخِذٌ بِلِجَامِهَا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " أَنَا النَّبِيُّ لَا كَذِبْ أَنَا ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبْ" .
