Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18545
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made peace with the people of Makkah on the condition that they would stay in Makkah Mukarramah for only three days and that they would only be allowed to enter Makkah Mukarramah with 'Jilban al-Silaah'. The narrator asked the meaning of 'Jilban al-Silaah', so he was told that it meant a sheath and a sword.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اہل مکہ سے اس شرط پر صلح کی تھی کہ وہ مکہ مکرمہ میں صرف تین دن قیام کریں گے اور صرف جلبان سلاح " لے کر مکہ مکرمہ میں داخل ہوسکیں گے، راوی نے " جلبان السلاح " کا معنی پوچھا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ میان اور تلوار۔
Hazrat Bara RA se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem SAW ne ahl Makkah se is shart par sulh ki thi ki woh Makkah Mukarramah mein sirf teen din qayam karenge aur sirf jalban silah lekar Makkah Mukarramah mein dakhil hoskenge, ravi ne jalban alsilah ka mani poocha to unhon ne bataya ki mian aur talwar.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ: " صَالَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ عَلَى أَنْ يُقِيمُوا ثَلَاثًا، وَلَا يَدْخُلُوهَا إِلَّا بِجُلُبَّانِ السِّلَاحِ" . قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَمَا جُلُبَّانُ السِّلَاحِ؟ قَالَ: الْقِرَابُ وَمَا فِيهِ.
