Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18548
Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I met Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him). He greeted me with peace, took my hand, and smiled in my face. Then he said, "Do you know why I did this to you?" I said, "I do not know, but you must have done it with good intentions." He said, "Once I met the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he did the same to me and asked me the same question, and I gave him the same answer as you did. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'When two Muslims meet, and one of them greets the other with peace and takes his hand, seeking nothing but the pleasure of Allah, then when they separate, their sins are forgiven.'"

ابوداؤد رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میری ملاقات حضرت براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہوئی انہوں نے مجھے سلام کیا اور میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر میرے سامنے مسکرانے لگے پھر فرمایا تم جانتے ہو کہ میں نے تمہارے ساتھ اس طرح کیوں کیا؟ میں نے کہا کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں البتہ آپ نے خیر کے ارادے سے ہی ایسا کیا ہوگا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ سے میری ملاقات ہوئی تو آپ ﷺ نے میرے ساتھ بھی اسی طرح کیا تھا اور مجھ سے بھی یہی سوال پوچھا تھا اور میں نے بھی تمہارے والا جواب دیا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تھا کہ جب دو مسلمان آپس میں ملتے ہیں اور ان میں سے ایک دوسرے کو سلام کرتا ہے اور اس کا ہاتھ پکڑتا ہے جو صرف اللہ کی رضاء کے لئے ہو " تو جب وہ دونوں جدا ہوتے ہیں تو ان کے گناہ بخش دئیے جاتے ہیں۔
Abu Dawood Rahmatullah Alaih kehte hain ki meri mulaqat Hazrat Bara bin Aazib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se hui, unhon ne mujhe salaam kiya aur mera hath pakar kar mere samne muskuranay lage, phir farmaya tum jante ho ki maine tumhare sath is tarah kyun kiya? maine kaha ki mujhe maloom nahi albatta aap ne khair ke irade se hi aisa kiya hoga, unhon ne farmaya ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se meri mulaqat hui to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere sath bhi isi tarah kiya tha aur mujhse bhi yahi sawal poocha tha aur maine bhi tumhare wala jawab diya tha, Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tha ki jab do musalman aapas mein milte hain aur un mein se ek dusre ko salaam karta hai aur uska hath pakarta hai jo sirf Allah ki raza ke liye ho" to jab wo dono juda hote hain to unke gunah bakhsh diye jate hain.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: لَقِيتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي، وَضَحِكَ فِي وَجْهِي، قَالَ: تَدْرِي لِمَ فَعَلْتُ هَذَا بِكَ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا أَدْرِي، وَلَكِنْ لَا أَرَاكَ فَعَلْتَهُ إِلَّا لِخَيْرٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَفَعَلَ بِي مِثْلَ الَّذِي فَعَلْتُ بِكَ، فَسَأَلَنِي، فَقُلْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي قُلْتَ لِي، فَقَالَ: " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ، فَيُسَلِّمُ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ وَيَأْخُذُ بِيَدِهِ، لَا يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، لَا يَتَفَرَّقَانِ، حَتَّى يُغْفَرَ لَهُمَا" .
