The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1890
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Fadl (RA) that on the morning of Muzdalifah, a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Sayyiduna Fadl (RA) was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at that time. She said, "O Messenger of Allah! The obligation of Hajj has become due upon my father, but he has become so old that he cannot even sit on a mount. Can I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes."

سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ قبیلہ خثعم کی ایک عورت مزدلفہ کی صبح نبی ﷺ کے پاس آئی، اس وقت سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے سوار تھے، وہ کہنے لگی: یا رسول اللہ! حج کے معاملے میں میرے والد پر اللہ کا فریضہ عائد ہو چکا ہے، لیکن وہ اتنے بوڑھے ہو چکے ہیں کہ سواری پر بھی نہیں بیٹھ سکتے، کیا میں ان کی طرف سے حج کر سکتی ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں!“
Sayyidina Fazl (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki qabila Khath'am ki ek aurat Muzdalifah ki subah Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aai, us waqt Sayyidina Fazl (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peechhe sawar the, woh kehnew lagi: Ya Rasulullah! Hajj ke mamle mein mere walid par Allah ka farz aaid ho chuka hai, lekin woh itne budhe ho chuke hain ki sawari par bhi nahin baith sakte, kya main unki taraf se Hajj kar sakti hun? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Haan!".
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ، سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رِدْفُهُ، فَقَالَتْ:" إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ، أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا، لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ، فَهَلْ تَرَى أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ".
