Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19283
It is narrated on the authority of Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the significance of these sacrifices. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "This is the Sunnah (tradition) of your father, Ibrahim (peace be upon him)." They asked, "What reward will we get for it?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "For every hair of the sacrificed animal, there is a reward." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What about the wool?" He replied, "For every strand of wool, there is also a reward."

حضرت زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ ان قربانیوں کی کیا حقیقت ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا یہ تمہارے باپ حضرت ابراہیم کی سنت ہے انہوں نے پوچھا اس پر ہمیں کیا ملے گا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہر بال کے بدلے ایک نیکی انہوں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! اون کا کیا حکم ہے؟ فرمایا اون کے ہر بال کے عوض بھی ایک نیکی ملے گی۔
Hazrat Zaid Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki aik martaba sahaba raziallahu anhu ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se pucha ki in qurbaniyon ki kya haqeeqat hai? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ye tumhare baap Hazrat Ibrahim ki sunnat hai. Unhon ne pucha is par humein kya milega? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya har baal ke badle ek neki. Unhon ne pucha Ya Rasulullah! On ka kya hukum hai? Farmaya on ke har baal ke awaz bhi ek neki milegi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ ، عَنْ عَائِذِ اللَّهِ الْمُجَاشِعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَوْ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ؟ قَالَ: " سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالُوا: مَا لَنَا مِنْهَا؟ قَالَ: بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ"، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَالصُّوفُ؟ قَالَ: بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ مِنَ الصُّوفِ حَسَنَةٌ" .
