Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19300
'Abdul A'la (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates, "Once, I prayed the funeral prayer behind Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), and he recited the takbir (Allahu Akbar) five times. Ibn Abi Layla stood up, took his hand, and said, 'Have you forgotten?' He said, 'No, but I prayed the funeral prayer behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) - who was my maternal uncle and the husband of my aunt (may Allah be pleased with him) - and he recited the takbir five times. So I will never abandon this practice.'"

عبدالاعلی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے حضرت زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز جنازہ پڑھی انہوں نے اس میں پانچ مرتبہ تکبیرکہی تو ابن ابی لیلیٰ نے کھڑے ہو کر ان کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور کہنے لگے کیا آپ بھول گئے ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا نہیں البتہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے " جو میرے خلیل اور ابوالقاسم تھے ﷺ " نماز جنازہ پڑھی ہے، انہوں نے پانچ مرتبہ تکبیرکہی تھی لہٰذا میں اسے کبھی ترک نہیں کروں گا۔
Abdul Aala rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke aik martaba maine Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke peeche namaz janaza parhi unhon ne us mein panch martaba takbeer kahi to Ibn e Abi Laila ne kharay ho kar un ka hath pakra aur kehne lage kya aap bhul gaye hain? Unhon ne kaha nahin albatta maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche "jo mere khalil aur Abu al Qasim thay (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)" namaz janaza parhi hai, unhon ne panch martaba takbeer kahi thi lahaza main ise kabhi tark nahin karoon ga.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ، فَكَبَّرَ خَمْسًا، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ أَبُو عِيسَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَالَ: نَسِيتَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَبَّرَ خَمْسًا، فَلَا أَتْرُكُهَا أَبَدًا .
