Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19822
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people of Banu Tamim came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them, "O Banu Tamim! Accept the good news." They said, "O Messenger of Allah! You have given us the good news, now give us some gifts too." Hearing this, the face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) changed color. After a while, a tribe of Yemen came. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them, "Banu Tamim did not accept the good news, you accept it." They said, "O Messenger of Allah! We have accepted it."

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ بنو تمیم کے کچھ لوگ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا اے بنو تمیم! خوشخبری قبول کرو، وہ کہنے لگے یارسول اللہ! آپ نے ہمیں خوشخبری تو دے دی، اب کچھ عطاء بھی کر دیجئے، یہ سن کر نبی ﷺ کے چہرہ انور کا رنگ بدل گیا، تھوڑی دیر بعد یمن کا ایک قبیلہ آیا تو نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ بنو تمیم نے تو خوشخبری قبول نہیں کی، تم قبول کرلو، انہوں نے عرض کیا یارسول اللہ! ہم نے اسے قبول کرلیا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Haseen razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki aik martaba Banu Tamim ke kuch log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hue, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya aye Banu Tamim khushkhabri qubool karo, wo kehne lage ya Rasul Allah aap ne hamen khushkhabri to de di ab kuch ataa bhi kar dijiye, ye sun kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke chehra anwar ka rang badal gaya, thori dair baad Yemen ka aik qabeela aaya to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya ki Banu Tamim ne to khushkhabri qubool nahin ki, tum qubool karlo, unhon ne arz kiya ya Rasul Allah ham ne ise qubool kar liya.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، َعنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: جَاءَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ: جَاءَتْ بَنُو تَمِيمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " أَبْشِرُوا يَا بَنِي تَمِيمٍ" قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا , قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ حَيٌّ مِنْ يَمَنٍ، فَقَالَ:" اقْبَلُوا الْبُشْرَى إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا بَنُو تَمِيمٍ" قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَبِلْنَا .
