Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19910
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a group of people from Banu Tamim came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them, “O Banu Tamim! Accept the good news.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah! You have given us the good news, now give us some gifts as well.” Upon hearing this, the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) changed color. After a while, a tribe from Yemen came, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them, “Banu Tamim did not accept the good news, you accept it.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah! We have accepted it.”

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ بنو تمیم کے کچھ لوگ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا اے بنو تمیم! خوشخبری قبول کرو، وہ کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے ہمیں خوشخبری تو دے دی، اب کچھ عطاء بھی کر دیجئے، یہ سن کر نبی ﷺ کا چہرہ انور کا رنگ بدل گیا، تھوڑی دیر بعد یمن کا ایک قبیلہ آیا تو نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ بنو تمیم نے تو خوشخبری قبول نہیں کی، تم قبول کرلو، انہوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ہم نے اسے قبول کرلیا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain RA se marvi hai ke ek martaba Banu Tamim ke kuch log Nabi SAW ki khidmat mein hazir hue, Nabi SAW ne un se farmaya aye Banu Tamim! Khushkhabri qubool karo, woh kehne lage Ya Rasul Allah! Aap ne hamen khushkhabri to de di, ab kuch ataa bhi kar dijiye, yeh sun kar Nabi SAW ka chehra anwar ka rang badal gaya, thodi der baad Yemen ka ek qabeela aaya to Nabi SAW ne un se farmaya ke Banu Tamim ne to khushkhabri qubool nahi ki, tum qubool karlo, unhon ne arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah! Hum ne ise qubool karlia.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ: جَاءَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" أَبْشِرُوا" قَالُوا: بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا , قَالَ: فَقَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ حَيٌّ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اقْبَلُوا الْبُشْرَى إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا بَنُو تَمِيمٍ" .
