Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19950
It is narrated on the authority of Imran (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) always used to encourage charity in his address and forbid begging.

حضرت عمران رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ہمیشہ اپنے خطاب میں صدقہ کی ترغیب دیتے اور مثلہ کرنے سے منع فرماتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قال: أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ:" أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَنَهَى عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ" .
