Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20293
Maqal bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that on the occasion of the Treaty of Hudaibiya, when he came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he saw the Prophet holding a branch of a tree over his head. The Prophet was taking an oath of allegiance from the people. On that day, the people pledged allegiance on the condition that they would not flee from battle. Their number on that occasion was fourteen hundred. Hakim bin Araj said, "The purpose of 'The Hand of Allah is over their hands' was also that they would not flee from battle."

حضرت معقل بن یسار رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ وہ غزوہ حدیبیہ کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو نبی ﷺ کے سر مبارک سے درخت کی ایک ٹہنی کو بلند کر رکھا تھا اور نبی ﷺ لوگوں سے بیعت لے رہے تھے اس دن لوگوں نے اس شرط پر بیعت کی تھی کہ راہ فرار اختیار نہیں کریں گے اور اس موقع پر ان کی تعداد چودہ سو پر مشتمل تھی۔ حکیم بن اعرج کہتے ہیں ید اللہ فوق ایدیھم کا بھی یہی مقصد تھا کہ وہ راہ فرار اختیار نہیں کریں گے۔
Hazrat Maqal bin Yasar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki woh ghazwa Hudaibiya ke mauqe par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hue to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sar mubarak se darakht ki ek tehni ko buland kar rakha tha aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) logon se bai't le rahe the us din logon ne is shart par bai't ki thi ki raah firar ikhtiyar nahin karenge aur is mauqe par un ki tadad chaudah sau par mushtamil thi. Hakim bin Arj kahte hain Yadullahi Fauqa Aidihim ka bhi yahi maqsad tha ki woh raah firar ikhtiyar nahin karenge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ," أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ غُصْنًا مِنْ أَغْصَانِ الشَّجَرَةِ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ، فَبَايَعُوهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا يَفِرُّوا، وَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَلْفٌ وَأَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ" ..
