The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2062
Abdul Rahman bin Abis, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I asked Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: "Did you attend Eid with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him?" He said: "Yes! If it were not for my relationship with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, I would never have been present on that occasion because of my young age." He said: “The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came and prayed two rak'ahs of Eid prayer near Dar al-Kathira bin al-Salt, then he delivered the sermon.” Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, did not mention any adhan or iqamah in it.

عبدالرحمن بن عابس رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا: کیا آپ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ عید کے موقع پر شریک ہوئے ہیں؟ فرمایا: ہاں! اگر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ میرا تعلق نہ ہوتا تو اپنے بچپن کی وجہ سے میں اس موقع پر کبھی موجود نہ ہوتا، اور فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے اور دار کثیر بن الصلت کے قریب دو رکعت نماز عید پڑھائی، پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا، سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس میں اذان یا اقامت کا کچھ ذکر نہیں کیا۔
Abdulrehman bin Aabis rehmatullah alaih kehte hain keh maine Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se pucha: kya aap Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Eid ke mauqe par sharik hue hain? Farmaya: Haan! Agar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath mera ta'alluq na hota to apne bachpan ki wajah se main is mauqe par kabhi maujood na hota, aur farmaya keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef laye aur Dar kaseer bin Al-Salt ke qareeb do rakat namaz Eid parhaee, phir khutba irshad farmaya, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne is mein azaan ya iqamat ka kuch zikr nahin kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَشَهِدْتَ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَلَوْلَا مَكَانِي مِنْهُ مَا شَهِدْتُهُ لِصِغَرِي، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" فَصَلَّى عِنْدَ دَارِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَذَانًا وَلَا إِقَامَةً".
