Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20836
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir bin Samrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying on the occasion of Hajj-e-Wida (Farewell Pilgrimage) that this religion will always prevail over its opponents. No opponent or deserter will be able to harm it, until twelve Caliphs pass away among my Ummah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something that I did not understand. I asked my father what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that all of them will be from Quraysh.

حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ یہ دین ہمیشہ اپنے مخالفین پر غالب رہے گا اسے کوئی مخالفت کرنے والا یا مفارقت کرنے والا نقصان نہ پہنچاسکے گا یہاں تک کہ میری امت میں بارہ خلیفہ گزر جائیں گے پھر نبی ﷺ نے کچھ کہا جو میں سمجھ نہیں سکا میں نے اپنے والد سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ نے کیا فرمایا ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے وہ سب کے سب قریش سے ہونگے۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Samrah RA se marvi hai ki maine Nabi SAW ko Hajjatul Wida ke mauqe par ye farmate hue suna hai ki yeh deen hamesha apne muqalifeen par ghalib rahe ga ise koi muqalifat karne wala ya mufaraqat karne wala nuqsan na pahuncha sake ga yahan tak ki meri ummat mein barah khalifa guzar jayen ge phir Nabi SAW ne kuchh kaha jo main samajh nahi saka maine apne walid se pucha ki Nabi SAW ne kya farmaya hai unhon ne kaha ki Nabi SAW ne farmaya hai wo sab ke sab Quraish se honge.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " يَكُونُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا"، فَقَالَ: كَلِمَةً لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَا، فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ:" كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ" .
