The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2090
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When you have stoned Jamaratul-'Aqabah, then everything becomes lawful for you except women.” A man asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Will it also be permissible to apply perfume?” Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said: I myself have seen with my own eyes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) applying perfume named “Musk” on his head, whether it is perfume or not?

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم جمرہ عقبہ کی رمی کر چکو تو عورت کے علاوہ ہر چیز تمہارے لئے حلال ہو جائے گی“، ایک آدمی نے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا خوشبو لگانا بھی جائز ہو جائے گا؟ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے تو خود اپنی آنکھوں سے نبی ﷺ کو اپنے سر پر ”مسک“ نامی خوشبو لگاتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، کیا وہ خوشبو ہے یا نہیں؟
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab tum jumrah Aqabah ki rami kar chuko to aurat ke ilawa har cheez tumhare liye halal ho jayegi", ek aadmi ne pucha: Ya Rasul Allah! kya khushbu lagana bhi jaiz ho jayega? Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain ki maine to khud apni aankhon se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko apne sar par "musk" nami khushbu lagate huye dekha hai, kya wo khushbu hai ya nahi?.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِذَا رَمَيْتُمْ الْجَمْرَةَ، فَقَدْ حَلَّ لَكُمْ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا النِّسَاءَ" , فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: وَالطِّيبُ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أَمَّا أَنَا , فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُضَمِّخُ رَأْسَهُ بِالْمِسْكِ، أَفَطِيبٌ ذَاكَ أَمْ لَا؟!.
